Our second graders tried to play the broken bordun pattern at barred instruments this week and it sounded great! Listen to Mrs. Stenson's class play "Charlie Over the Ocean." How did we do?

Our fifth grade classes have been competing against each other to see which group could perform our school song the best. Well, the competition was tough, but Mr. Rowsom's class is the clear winner! Enjoy their recording of our school song, "The Darnell Superstars," with four separate instrument parts. Can you hear them all?

​The melody of our school song was written by the fabulous Ms. Skomal-Michaels in 2002 and the instrument arrangement was written by Ms. Van Eaton in 2005.

Our third grade students are learning the difference between melody and accompaniment parts in addition to playing melodic patterns on the xylophones. Enjoy this short song, "The Golden Rule" by Kriske and DeLelles played on barred instruments by Mrs. Folle's third grade class.
